Biography

Adriana Hinojosa Biggs is a graduate of both St. Mary’s University (1987) and its School of Law (1990). She began her legal career as a prosecutor representing the State of Texas in Travis County and subsequently joined the Bexar County Criminal District Attorney’s Office where she personally handled thousands of criminal cases. During her prosecutorial career Adriana was the lead attorney in over one hundred criminal jury trials ranging from misdemeanor assault to capital murder. While at the Bexar County D.A.’s Office, Adriana was promoted to Chief of the DWI Task Force and she later rose to become Chief of the White Collar Crime Division, the first female and the first Hispanic to serve in that position. In addition to her experience in Travis and Bexar Counties, Adriana was a senior prosecutor with the 81st Judicial District Attorney’s Office where she handled felony cases across a five-county district. She has seen firsthand the difference an experienced defense attorney can make on behalf of the person accused of a crime. She is a fluent Spanish speaker.
